This policy describes the cookies and similar technologies used on acrentallisbon.pt, in accordance with the GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive. Analytics cookies are only activated after your explicit consent.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device (computer, phone) when you visit a website. It allows the site to remember information between visits (e.g. chosen language, cookie preference).
2. Cookies we use
2.1. Strictly necessary (no consent required)
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
coolja-consent | Remembers your cookie choice (granted / denied) | localStorage — until cleared |
2.2. Analytics cookies (only with consent)
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Distinguish users (Google Analytics) | 2 years | |
_ga_T2E1KDLNPQ | Maintain GA4 session state | 2 years |
3. Google Consent Mode v2
We have implemented Google Consent Mode v2. This means that:
- By default, no analytics or advertising cookie is stored.
- If you accept, the
_gaand_ga_T2E1KDLNPQcookies are stored. - If you decline, only anonymised "pings" are sent to Google with no cookie at all — used only for aggregate modelling and never identifiable.
- Your IP is always anonymised (the
anonymize_ipsetting).
4. How to manage your preferences
4.1. Reopen the consent banner
To change your choice, delete the coolja-consent cookie/entry from your browser. The banner will appear again.
Shortcut: open your browser, press F12, go to "Application" → "Local Storage" → https://acrentallisbon.pt → delete coolja-consent. Reload the page.
4.2. Block cookies in your browser
- Chrome: support.google.com/chrome/answer/95647
- Firefox: support.mozilla.org
- Safari: support.apple.com/en-us/HT201265
- Edge: support.microsoft.com
4.3. Disable Google Analytics
You can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to stop your browser sending data to GA — on any site, not just ours.
5. Third-party cookies
We don't use social network cookies (Facebook, Instagram, X), nor advertising pixels (Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, etc.). This policy will be updated should this change in the future.
6. What happens if you decline all cookies
The website works normally. You receive no analytics cookie at all. We simply can't measure, in aggregate, how to improve the service for you.
7. Changes
This policy will be updated when we add or remove cookies. The date of the last update appears at the top. For material changes, we re-present the banner to obtain consent again.
8. Questions or complaints
For questions about this policy, see the Privacy Policy or contact us by WhatsApp. For formal complaints: the Portuguese Data Protection Authority (CNPD) — www.cnpd.pt.
